Coweta Man Found Guilty Of Killing Wife

A Coweta County man was found guilty Tuesday of killing his wife in 2009.

A Coweta County jury found Alec McNaughton guilty of murder and aggravated assault in the Feb. 15, 2009 death of his wife, Cathy.

Investigators said Alec McNaughton called 911 and told dispatchers he found his wife bleeding on the floor of their Sharpsburg home.

McNaughton was sentenced to life in prison for the murder and 20 years for the aggravated assault charge.
