SUWANEE, Ga. —
John and Jessica (they didn't want their last name used) bought the contents of an abandoned storage unit Tuesday. Their $10 bid won them four cardboard boxes.
They hoped to sell the contents on eBay for a profit.

Inside one of the boxes they found hundreds of IDs, credit cards and tax returns.
"There were hundreds of credit cards, social security cards, drivers licenses from different states," said Jessica. Some of the cards included pictures of the same person, but had different names on them.
Jessica and John called the sheriff's office and handed the contents of the boxes over to police.
The Suwanee police detective handling the case called the volume of evidence "overwhelming." He expects the investigation to stretch from coast-to-coast.
He plans to call in the FBI and the Secret Service for help.
