Cobb Police: Dental Worker Videotaped Women In Restroom

A Marietta man whose job was to sedate patients at an Atlanta dental office has been accused of setting up a recording device in the women’s restroom.

Police arrested Paul Serdula, 47, of Marietta, and charged him with unlawful surveillance and eavesdropping.

Investigators said Serdula, a certified registered nurse anesthetist, had hundreds of videos, some of which were of potential victims. Police say videos, found in a nurse anesthetist's home, show him assaulting and touching patients inappropriately while they were under anesthesia at various medical and dental facilities.

“I can tell you what little I’ve seen is very graphic in nature. It would make one’s stomach turn,” said Sgt. Dana Pearce with the Cobb County Police Department.

Police identified one of the locations as 600 Galleria Parkway in Atlanta. Investigators said they removed a recording device from that location as evidence.

Investigators said they obtained a search warrant and seized other items from Serdula’s home to be analyzed for evidence.

Detectives have not been able to identify any of the victims from their subsequent investigation, other than the dental office, and are asking for the public’s assistance.

Investigators said anyone who may have had a dental or medical procedure in which they were placed under anesthesia is asked to contact their primary care physician who ordered the procedure to see if Serdula was the attending nurse anesthetist.

Serdula was a contract nurse anesthetist and did not work directly for any dental or medical physician.

Serdula was taken to the Cobb County Adult Detention Center and charged with three counts of eavesdropping-surveillance.
