Alpharetta Woman Wins $500K In Ga. Lottery

ALPHARETTA, Ga. —

An Alpharetta woman is half-a-million dollars richer Friday, thanks to a Georgia Lottery scratch off game.

Nancy Hitchcock, 63, won the $500,000 top prize in the Jumbo Jumbo Bucks game, according to Georgia Lottery officials.

Hitchcock bought the ticket at the RaceTrac gas station on McFarland Parkway in Alpharetta.

After scratching the ticket in her car in the parking lot and realizing she was a winner, Hitchcock raced back into the store to share the news.

The grandmother of four plans to take her family to Disney World for a vacation.
