ATLANTA —

We are going to get hit with a double whammy weather-wise this weekend--hot temperatures and poor quality air.

Temperatures are going to climb into the 90s beginning this afternoon.

In addition, the National Weather Service has issued a "code orange" smog alert.

"That means the air quality is going to be unhealthy for those of us existing health problems such as asthma or emphysema," says Channel 2 Action News meteorologist Karen Minton.
