3 Firefighters Injured When Truck Overturns

COWETA COUNTY, Ga. —

Coweta County officials confirmed to Channel 2 Action News that three Coweta County firefighters were injured when their fire truck overturned Sunday.

According to Pat Palmer, three firefighters suffered non-life-threatening injuries when their fire truck overturned on their way to a call.

The crash happened just before noon at the intersection of Georgia 34 and Dixon Road.

Officials said the firefighters were on their way to a brush fire call when the crash occurred.

Two firefighters were taken to Piedmont Newnan Hospital and one was airlifted to Atlanta Medical Center.

The Coweta County Fire Department and the Georgia State Patrol are investigating the crash.

No other vehicles were involved.
