The Bartow County Sheriff's Office is reviewing hundreds of hours of surveillance video following the discovery of two more syringes in clothing at a Cartersville Walmart.

Several similar incidents were reported last month, including some customers being pricked by the syringes. The Sheriff's Office said since Nov. 22 a total of nine syringes have been found at the Walmart.

"It's bad. It's dangerous. I hope they can find out who's doing it," one shopper told Channel 2’s Michael Buczyner.

Investigators told Buczyner that one syringe was found in the front pocket of a woman’s nightgown. The second was located in the pocket of a hooded sweatshirt. The needles were found by customers on Thursday and Friday.

Police also told Buczyner that all nine syringes are the same type, and the Georgia Bureau of Investigation was unable to find fingerprints on any of them.

Neither customer was pricked by needles this time, but at least two others have been stuck by needles. Patrica Headrick told Channel 2 Action News she was pricked by a needle when she reached into a package to inspect a Playtex bra.

"It's mean. I don't understand why someone would do this. It blows my mind," Headrick said.

Investigators said they were using metal detecting wands to search the clothing at the store for needles.

Investigators are urging anyone who recently purchased clothing at the store to carefully check those items for needles. Some customers told Buczyner they are avoiding the store entirely.

"We won't buy any clothing from here. Now it’s to the point my wife doesn't want me shopping for groceries because what if they're next?" a shopper said.
