Woman wakes up to scorpion stinging her

VANCOUVER — A woman says she woke up to a sharp pain and then later saw a scorpion crawling in her bed.

Rachel Fox posted on her Facebook page that she woke up last week to pain, which felt like a shard of glass slicing her, on her hand and shoulder.

The areas then started swelling and feeling hot, she said.

A few minutes later she said she saw something scurry along her pillow and immediately screamed for her roommate.

After a bit of frenzy, her roommate managed to track the creature down and kill it with the help of a frying pan, a broom and a bottle of Raid, according to Global News.

Fox says she now keeps the dead scorpion in a jar in her coffee table.
