Selena Avalos ordered lunch Tuesday afternoon from a nearby Domino’s.

When the food arrived, she found a box for a side order, usually meant for breadsticks. But in the box, she found another kind of dough-- more than $5,000.

Avalos said she called the restaurant to tell them what had happened, but no one answered.

"I was, like, 'I can't keep it. It's a crazy amount of money.' It's not like it's $20 you find, you know? It's almost $5,000," Avalos told KGO-TV.

Avalos said she called several times, and still got no answer.

"Wouldn't they be thinking, 'Where did that money go?'" Avalos said.

So she turned to KGO-TV for help. The station was able to contact Domino's corporate office, which in turn got ahold of the franchise owner so Avalos could return the money.

For her honesty, Domino’s has given Avalos free pizza for a year. Her boss also rewarded her with an extra week off from work.
