Soldier surprises children on the court of a basketball game

SACRAMENTO, Ca. — Two young Sacramento Kings fans thought they were picked for an in-game promotion.

Little did they know that waiting for them was their dad, U.S. Army Sergeant Shawn Sullivan.

The kids, blindfolded, were supposed to find the Kings mascot. Instead, they found their father.

Sgt. Sullivan has spent the last nine months deployed in Afghanistan.

Players and fans cheered as Sgt. Sullivan embraced his kids, Austin and Brooke.

Sgt. Sullivan returned home to spend the holidays with his family.
