ATLANTA — Tuesday, July 12 is Cow Appreciation Day.
Chick-fil-A restaurants will give a free entrée to anyone wearing anything cow-like. Guests in cow attire may select any breakfast, lunch or dinner entrée. Kids dressed like a cow may select a kid's meal.
"Cow Appreciation Day is the one day where it’s okay to dress ‘udderly’ crazy and get rewarded for it," said Jon Bridges, Chick-fil-A’s senior vice president and chief marketing officer. "The event also affords our guests the chance to explore our menu, whether they want to try some of our newer, healthier menu options, such as our Grilled Chicken Sandwich or Grilled Nuggets, or go with a classic favorite, like our Original Chicken Sandwich and Chicken Nuggets."
This will be the 12th year the chicken chain will honor the food giveaway day.

Cow Appreciation Day is now in its sixth year. Last year, more than 300,000 cow-clad customers visited Chick-fil-A restaurants in a range of get-ups, from cow-spotted t-shirts to full cow suits.
"It takes a loyal fan to dress like a cow for a free meal," said Steve Robinson, Chick-fil-A’s executive vice president and former chief marketing officer for over 34 years.
Chick-fil-A restaurants will have a Snapchat filter that will allow customers to share their #CowAppreciationDay experiences with friends and family.
Cow Appreciation Day celebration will last from store opening through 7:00 p.m. local time.
