Produce truck caught bringing in way more than salad into one Georgia prison

LOWNDES COUNTY, Ga. - Prison officials said someone used heads of cabbage to try to smuggle items into a south Georgia prison.

A picture of the hollowed out cabbage shows marijuana, tobacco and three cell phones officials said were stuffed inside.

On the Georgia Department of Corrections Facebook page they said a produce truck brought the contraband to Valdosta State Prison.

Followers of the page said the story sounded like an episode of the popular Netflix show, “Orange Is The New Black.”
