Mystery as thousands of Skittles found on road

DODGE COUNTY, Wis. — A sweet surprise to some, and sticky mess for others.

Thousands of red Skittles were found scattered across a Wisconsin road this week, creating curiosity among locals, according to 6ABC.

Deputies believe that the Skittles fell off a truck, but they have not confirmed the theory.

Officials said the candy-coated highway might not be such a bad thing, because the candy could help make the roads less slippery, 6ABC said.

Locals said there is another benefit - the air along the road smells sweet.
