Man saves choking driver.

ROCHESTER, NY — He was there at the right place at the right time.

William Harris was driving Tuesday in Rochester when he felt something get caught in his throat. He wasn’t eating food but he was having trouble breathing.

So he pulled over and tried to wave down other drivers but no one stopped except for Pavel Fesyuk, 13Wham reported.

Fesyuk, a father of two and a “Ninja Warrior” contestant, jumped out and went to action. He first tried to pat Harris on the back but when it became more serious he began performing the Heimlich maneuver.

After a few moments, Harris was able to breathe again.

"We're a Christian family, so we tend to do things for others - or we're supposed to. We do unto others. The Golden Rule," Fesyuk told 13Wham.

Harris said he went to an urgent care center that day and plans to see a doctor in hopes of learning what he choked on, 13Wham reports.

Information from 13Wham was used in this report.
