WSB-TV celebrates July 4th

ATLANTA — Start making plans. The Fourth of July is just hours away, and the one thing you can count on is that WSB-TV will have the BEST fireworks show in town.

We invite you to join us for the "Georgia Salutes America" celebration at Centennial Olympic Park. The gates open at 6 p.m. The event salutes those who serve our country plus has the south's most spectacular fireworks show.

WSB-TV's "Georgia Salutes America" will include a mix of musical entertainment and a special tribute to the men and women who serve in the armed forces.

Don’t worry if you’re unable to make it out to the fun event. We’ll have live coverage starting at 8:30 p.m. on WSB-TV.

Channel 2's Jovita Moore, anchor of Channel 2 Action News at 5, 6, and 11 p.m., and Channel 2's sports director Zach Klein will be hosting this special event.

The program will feature performances by Grammy Award winning artist Bobby Brown, along with JFly and Friends.

Dance music star CeCe Peniston will also take the stage to help celebrate freedom.

The evening will end with "Centennial Olympic Park's Fireworks Spectacular," Georgia's best fireworks display synchronized to a special selection of patriotic and popular music.
