Woodstock police searching for pregnant shoplifter

WOODSTOCK, Ga. — Woodstock police want the public's help identifying a group of suspected shoplifters, including one woman they believe to be pregnant.

Investigators released surveillance photos of four women they believe stole $1,500 worth of merchandise from the Off 5th Saks Fifth Avenue Outlet on Ridgewalk Parkway on Sept. 14.

"I think it's absolutely ridiculous," said shopper Mimi Davis. "You know she's putting her child in danger, really."

Shoppers Channel 2's Amy Napier Viteri spoke to were surprised by the boldness of the alleged shoplifters, who police said have hit the Woodstock location on two other occasions, as well as Saks stores in Dawsonville and Gwinnett County.

Police said they identified and issued warrants for one of the women shown in the pictures as Shawndrea Gay who they said is currently in Cobb County.

Video from the store showed three women leaving in a 2008 Black Chevrolet Equinox with a Georgia tag PD15KQ.

"They'll definitely get caught because that's just life," said shopper Rosa Pineda.
