Authorities are investigating after a woman’s body was found wrapped in several blankets Wednesday afternoon in northwest Atlanta.

ATLANTA — Authorities are investigating after a woman’s body was found wrapped in several blankets Wednesday afternoon in northwest Atlanta.

Police say a man walking down Chappell Road found the woman's body in a grassy area near the sidewalk.

Investigators told Channel 2 Action News the woman's body was so badly decomposed, they couldn't determine the woman's age or race.
