DEKALB COUNTY, Ga. - We’re getting our first look at another victim killed in a series of murders in DeKalb County.
Right now, police are trying to get new information from the murder suspects. They believe the suspects killed Alexis Malone on May 10 because she witnessed a murder. Police confirmed Kayla Dixon turned herself into police Monday night.
Now, after a daylong standoff, police have four suspects in custody in connection with a shooting spree. Police stormed a room at the Travel Inn at Forrest Hill Drive shortly after 3 p.m. Monday. They found Cutrez Johnson, 16, and Oslusha Smith, 19. Both were taken into custody.
Investigators also say a third murder, in which a 9-month-old baby died, may be in retaliation for one of the killings. But they have no suspects in the murder of 9-month-old Kendarius Edwards. Three women were also shot as they tried hiding in a bathroom of a home at Tolani Farm Road in Stone Mountain. DeKalb police are now turning their focus into finding the person who shot the women and the baby in an effort to bring all the violence to an end.
Meanwhile, police said Smith and Johnson are related to the 9-month-old child.
Homicide investigators are trying to get more information to find the four masked men they’re looking for in the shooting of the baby and three women.
