ATHENS, Ga. - An Athens man is cleaning up his home after a bizarre vandalism incident caused tens of thousands of dollars in damage.
Athens-Clarke police said the victim came home to his Wood Lake Place apartment Saturday night and noticed his sliding glass door had been opened. When he walked through his apartment, he saw all of his furniture was destroyed by slice marks. He also told police bleach was poured onto his clothing, bedding and towels. No items were taken.
The man told police the damage was estimated at more than $20,000.
