2 juveniles charged as adults for the murder of a teen during robbery

GWINNETT COUNTY, Ga. — Gwinnett County police have charged a 16-year-old and a 14-year-old in the murder of a teenager.

Channel 2's Gwinnett County Bureau Chief Tony Thomas spoke exclusively with the mother and victim about the answers they want.

Family members say the three victims tried to run away from their attackers, and that's when they were shot at . One escaped unharmed but two were hit.

The mother of one of the victims told Thomas she just wants answers to one big question.

"I just want to know where the guns came from," said Crystal Patterson, who added that she still can't comprehend how a 16-year-old neighborhood boy got out at four in the morning with a gun, and how his 14-year-old friend was with him, armed with a pocket knife.

"Where did it come from? These kids getting guns is just ridiculous, it's just too easy," Patterson said.

Patterson said her son, Noah Fullilove, 17, and her godson Zachary Inyamah, 16, were staying at

a friend's house Saturday night but left overnight. Police said the boys were confronted by the other teens as they walked through the Rockbridge Court Apartments at about 4 a.m. and robbed.

Fullilove was shot in the arm. Inyamah was killed. A third teen escaped.

"They are running from you, they are no harm to you and you took his life for $50," Patterson said.

Police say Omar Ramos, 16, and Ronaldo Cruz, 14, were spotted riding bikes nearby and arrested for the murder and shootings.

"They don't really get the grasp of consequences, but they took somebody's life and they need to pay for that," Patterson said.

Noah didn't want to talk on camera but was with his mother as they went to the district attorney's office to discuss the case Monday afternoon.

"The day before this happened, I talked to both of my children. I talked to all of them about guns, gangs and bullets," Patterson said. "It's just unbelievable, I feel for their parents but I'm angry."

The two teens are being held at a juvenile detention center but are charged as adults. Warrants detail how police believe the 16-year-old was the triggerman and the 14-year-old allegedly helped out with the robbery.
