Truck runs off I-20 ramp, killing sleeping homeless man

A truck hit and killed a homeless man sleeping in a tent near the Interstate 20 ramp, a Fulton County medical examiner confirmed.
The wreck happened at about 4 a.m. Saturday, on the ramp from I-20 westbound to Interstate 75/85.
Police say Joshua Reese, 25, was driving east on I-20. While attempting to exit onto I-75/85 north, police say Reese lost control of his car and drove off the road into a grassy area where he ran over an unidentified homeless man who was lying underneath the bridge in a tent. Police say Reese’s car then collided into the bridge.
Reese was not injured. His passenger was slightly hurt, but refused treatment.
Police conducted a field sobriety test on Reese, then charged him with DUI, reckless driving, failure to maintain lane, too fast for conditions and first degree vehicular homicide.
Police have not released the name of the victim.
