DEKALB COUNTY, Ga. - An overturned tractor-trailer full of chicken shut down an Interstate 285 ramp Tuesday morning.
The crash happened at the I-285 south ramp onto Interstate 20 east in DeKalb County. The ramp was closed until around 6 a.m.
The truck’s 38,000 pounds of chicken spilled, and crews say it could take hours to clean up.
The truck driver told Channel 2’s Sophia Choi recent rain made the ramp slick, leading to the crash. Choi said it did not appear that the driver was seriously injured.
Watch Channel 2 Action News This Morning for live updates on the cleanup efforts.
