Rough night for Tripp Halstead after medical procedure

ATLANTA — A Winder boy's mother says he had a terrible night after doctors re-implanted a drain to keep fluid from building up on his brain.

Tripp Halstead has been hospitalized since he got hurt when a limb struck him in the head back in October during Hurricane Sandy.

Posting on Facebook, the boy's mother, Stacy Halstead, says they had to briefly leave their hospital room at Children's Healthcare of Atlanta on Monday night during the tornado warnings.

The Halsteads are fixing up a new home and hope to get Tripp settled in soon.
