Toddler critically injured in SWAT raid set to go home

ATLANTA — The toddler critically injured during a SWAT raid in Habersham County is set to go home.

On Monday, 19-month-old Bounkham Phonesavanh had his first meal with his family since the May 28 raid.

His mother says he suffered a brain injury when a flash bang grenade went off inside his playpen.

On Wednesday, the family and its lawyers will hold a farewell breakfast for "Bou Bou" at Delightful Eatz in southeast Atlanta.

The family is preparing to return to Wisconsin, where they lived until a house fire sent them to stay with relatives in Habersham County earlier this year.
