DEKALB COUNTY, Ga. - DeKalb County police say a 15-year-old boy was shot inside a home early Friday morning.
The victim’s uncle told Channel 2’s Steve Gehlbach there were seven people inside the Hillcrest Drive home at the time of the shooting around 2:30 a.m. He said the teen was shot in the face.
Police said the teen was taken to the hospital in critical condition.
Detectives identified 17-year-old Jacob Christmas as a suspect and took him into custody later Friday morning. He has been charged with aggravated assault.
Police said the shooting appears to be the result of an ongoing dispute between Christmas and the victim.
