Suspect in deadly stabbing of convenience store clerk faces judge

WHITFIELD COUNTY, Ga. — The suspect in a deadly stabbing in Whitfield County heard the charges against her Wednesday.
 
About 15 seconds on a computer split screen is all Channel 2's Wendy Corona saw of Skyy Raven Marie Mims, 21, Wednesday. 
 
Mims now sits in Whitfield County Jail on a felony murder charge.  Mims is accused of killing Dalton convenience store clerk Dicki Chaudhairi on Sunday night.
 
YouTube video of Mims before her time in Georgia displays her as an aspiring music, dance and modeling talent. 
 
Her website talks of "love" and "God" however comments now call out the alleged actions that landed her in jail.
 
On Sunday night, surveillance camera video captured what the Whitfield County Sheriff's Office believed was Mims at Kanku's Express on Airport Road. 
 
With the aid of several agencies, Mims was discovered at a Cartersville home on Springmont Drive on Tuesday night. 
 
A neighbor shared that Mims was a friend of a friend and only staying for a while. 
 
"She just thought the lady was just a friend of her Mom's.  Just moving from out of state and needed a place to stay for a few days and they let her stay and had no idea," said Judy Padgett.
 
Investigators say Mims tried to run, but was quickly taken into custody. 
 
Meanwhile at the store where Chaudhairi worked for only a few short months, a memorial to the life lost sits at the counter where he once served his community.
