COBB COUNTY, Ga. - Stunning images emerged Tuesday of a 14-year-old Cobb County boy charged with a double murder.

Jaydon Reid is charged as an adult in the robbery and shooting death of two men at Wild Horse Creek Park on Macedonia Road Sunday night.

“You really just can’t use the phrase, “Oh they're just kids' anymore,” McEachern High School senior Alexzandra Valentine said.

Valentine  told Channel 2’s Ross Cavitt there’s no sense of shock in school that the teen faces two murder charges.

Cavitt found that Reid’s social media accounts had pictures of guns and money. Police think that’s what motivated the killings.

Police say Reid shot and killed Sterling Hargrave, 21, and Terrance Banks, 23, near a BMX track and robbed the men of cash and a half pound of marijuana. An officer caught Reid nearby.

Cobb County District Attorney Vic Reynolds told Cavitt that Reid will be tried as an adult.

“It’s still shocking anytime anyone is charged with a double homicide, but particularly if that perpetrator is 14 years old. It’s alarming disconcerting and very shocking,” Reynolds said.
