BARROW COUNTY, Ga. - A Channel 2 Action News viewer has helped a Barrow County church recover a stolen trailer filled with equipment.
Channel 2's Carl Willis first reported how the Story Church was scrambling after someone broke into a storage lot and stole one of their trailers.
The Barrow County Sheriff's Office said the break-in happened Sunday after service.
The church's pastor said nearly all of the church's sound equipment, its stage, and everything from the communion trays to the crib for the youth ministry was taken.
A Channel 2 Action News viewer saw Willis' story and saw the trailer parked in front of a neighbor's home.
Detectives and a church volunteer went to the home and reclaimed the stolen equipment Wednesday afternoon.
Church services are expected to go on as planned for Sunday.
