COLLEGE PARK, Ga. — Police are investigating who hit a 54-year-old man and left him for dead alongside the road.
Berell Brown died from his injuries after being hit by a car as he walked along West Point Avenue in College Park early Sunday morning.
"Just to hit him like he's trash (tearing up) he comes from a good family," brother Bayo Brown told Channel 2's Nefertiti Jaquez. "Somebody left him there."
College Park police said Brown was making his way home from a family gathering when he was hit and killed.
"They didn't take the time out to stop, to call, to help, to see if he's OK," his niece Tiera Bohannon said.
Jaquez obtained video of the victim taken from a nearby business which shows Brown's final moments.

At 3:02 a.m. cameras captured Brown walking northbound on West Point Avenue.
At 3:17 a.m. you can barely make out the moment investigators believe a black car careened into him, before slowing down then taking off.
Another camera angle shows the alleged hit-and-run driver turning east on Sullivan Road before driving away.
Now his family is forced to live without a man who they say was their everything.
"He's a human being. He was a person. He had a family that loved him," Bohannon said.
