Softball coach accused of sending inappropriate texts to former player

MILTON, Ga. — Police say a softball coach was sending suggestive text messages to a 15-year-old.

Milton police arrested Robert Payne on Thursday on charges of enticing a child for indecent purposes.

Payne, 35, is a coach with Stealth Softball, a traveling league based in Cumming.

The victim is a former player on Payne's team, police said.

Payne made his first appearance before a Fulton County judge on Friday, where he was denied bond.
