Police find church van in local smash-and-grabs

ATLANTA, Ga. — Atlanta police are looking for thieves in a morning smash-and-grab that happened at a clothing store in southwest Atlanta.

The incident happened around 3 a.m. Friday at the City Gear on Headland Drive. In less than three minutes, two masked men took off with an undisclosed amount of shoes, T-shirts and jeans. Police believe a stolen church van was used in the crime.

Police are looking for a white van with church markings according to witnesses and surveillance video. The store's district manager said the business will remain closed until crews finish cleaning the mess.

Police have not made any arrests.
