Prosecutors: Attorney charged with killing wife getting special treatment

ATLANTA — A well-known Atlanta attorney charged with killing his wife is headed to court Monday afternoon.

Channel 2 Action News has learned that prosecutors plan to question Fulton County's chief jailer about the treatment Tex McIver is getting in jail.

Prosecutors say McIver is getting special privileges. Colonel Mark Adger denies it.

McIver faces murder charges after being accused of shooting his wife as they rode in an SUV near Piedmont Park in September.

The defense claims the shooting was an accident.

His bond was revoked after investigators said they found a gun in his home.
