KENNESAW, Ga. - A street widening project in Cobb County is causing confusion for commuters.
Drivers said they had no idea the street closure was coming and they were caught off-guard.
The Cobb County Department of Transportation said several warning signs have been up for weeks to let drivers know in advance.
“Some people don’t pay attention to what’s on the side of the road, and those are the people we’re seeing today having trouble,” Bryan Ricks of the Cobb County DOT said.
The stretch is expected to be closed for two months.
Westbound traffic should turn left on Canton Road and right on Hawkins Store Road and right on Bells Ferry to avoid the closure.
