Several street closures to begin on Veterans Day

Updated:

ATLANTA, Ga. —

Police are trying to get the word out about several road closures that will begin on Veterans Day.

Due to filming in the downtown and midtown areas, several streets and sidewalks will be closed or partially closed from Nov. 11 through Nov. 20.

The Atlanta Police Department is urging all drivers who must travel into the area to consider taking MARTA or other alternative modes of travel to decrease volume.  APD may also need to close certain streets if the need arises. Here's the list of closures and click here to download WSB-TV's free traffic app for detour information.
