Scattered showers, storms expected as cold front moves in

A cold front is expected to move through metro Atlanta on Tuesday, bringing scattered showers and storms to the area.

ATLANTA — A cold front moved through metro Atlanta on Tuesday, bringing scattered showers and storms to the area.

Severe Weather Team 2 Meteorologist Brad Nitz said we had a few isolated strong-to-severe storms Tuesday morning through afternoon.

Scattered showers and cooler air will move in Wednesday. High temperatures are expected to be in the 60s.

“Widespread rain is likely Thursday,” Nitz said.

Sunshine returns briefly on Friday, and then the weekend looks cloudy, damp and cool with a wedge setting up.

“We’ll monitor that for changes to see how it develops,” Nitz said.
