FULTON COUNTY, Ga. - Roswell police are renewing their push to find an accused killer.

Jose Catulo was stabbed to death in August 2009 at the Frazier Street apartments, police said.  Investigators quickly identified the suspect as Salvador Ortega Sanchez.

“We later found out he was injured himself,” said Officer Lisa Holland, who told Channel 2’s Mike Petchenik  that Sanchez sought medical attention at a hospital in Douglas County using an alias.

“We’re still actively looking for this person,” said Holland.   “He may still be around in the area.  He was a Roswell resident at the time and knows Roswell very well.”

Catulo’s family told Petchenik four years after the murder, the pain is still very palpable.

“I feel dead inside because this guy made our life worse,” said Catulo’s mother, Antonio Boysa.  “I was a happy person.”

Boysa said after seeing Sanchez’s picture, she believes he’s “evil,” and the man who killed her son.

Catulo’s brother, Fernando, told Petchenik he misses his brother every day.

“My brother was a wonderful person.  He was a best friend, and he’s a nice person,” he said.  “A good brother and good son.”

Crime Stoppers Atlanta is offering a reward for information leading to Sanchez’s capture and conviction.  Anyone with information can remain anonymous, and should call 404-577-TIPS (8477).
