Person attempting to cross I-20 dies

ROCKDALE COUNTY, Ga. — A person attempting to cross Interstate 20 in Rockdale County has died.

According to Georgia State Patrol, a Toyota Camry was traveling west near mile marker 80 in the left lane when they hit the pedestrian on the shoulder.

The driver of the Camry pulled over to assist the pedestrian, when another driver in a Nissan Altima, hit the pedestrian again.

The pedestrian died due to injuries and has not yet been identified.
