FULTON COUNTY, Ga. - Roswell police are looking for a man they said robbed at least two businesses in a span of one hour.

Surveillance video obtained by Channel 2’s Mike Petchenik shows the man walking into a Shell gas station on Holcomb Bridge Road Jan. 8, pointing a gun at the clerk and demanding cash and cigarettes.

“It was scary,” said Senait Solomon, a clerk who works with the man who was robbed.  “He took some money and cigarettes, five to seven cartons of cigarettes.”

Police told Petchenik after the suspect left the gas station, he drove one exit north on Ga. 400 and robbed a Waffle House on Mansell Road.

“To do two in one day is kind of unusual,” said Lisa Holland of Roswell Police Department.  “He’s obviously desperate.”

Holland said detectives want to know if the man is behind other armed robberies in the area and fear his crimes could escalate.

Solomon told Petchenik she’s hopeful releasing the video will lead to the suspect’s arrest.

“I hope they catch him,” she said.
