Metro Atlanta under Wind Advisory until 8 p.m.

ATLANTA — Friday started off wet for some areas, but rain has moved out and the wind is picking up.

A wind advisory is in effect across north Georgia until 8 p.m.

Severe Weather Team 2 Meteorologist Brian Monahan said wind will gust to 35 mph at times in metro Atlanta. Wind gusts of 40-45 mph are possible in north Georgia. Spotty power outages are possible.

Highs Friday will reach in the low to mid 70s.

Saturday morning will start off cool with lows in the 40s, but highs will reach the upper 70s by Saturday afternoon with lots of sunshine.

It will stay warm and dry into early next week with temperatures climbing back into the low to mid 80s.
