Remembering The March: Stories from Andrew Young

ATLANTA — It was 50 years ago when the struggle for civil rights captured the nation’s and even the world’s attention during the March on Washington. That’s where Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr. delivered his “I Have a Dream” speech which changed the course of the civil rights movement.

Channel 2 Action News anchor Jovita Moore presents a unique look back at this historic time through the eyes of a man who stood beside Dr. King.

Andrew Young shares his memories in a one-on-one conversation with Moore.  The program pulls back the curtain on those volatile times through rarely seen historical interviews and video which show the challenges leaders faced bringing their message of equality to the world.

“Channel 2 is proud to bring our viewers a program that highlights such an important time in Atlanta’s and the nation’s history,” said Tim McVay, vice president and general manager of Channel 2 WSB-TV. “We invite viewers to watch this special presentation with their families.”
