Rapper Gucci Mane arrested again

ATLANTA, Ga. — Channel 2 Action News has learned rapper Gucci Mane was arrested just before 1 a.m. Saturday, according to the Atlanta Police Department.

The Atlanta-based rapper, whose real name is Radric Davis, was arrested in southeast Atlanta after someone reported being concerned about his well-being.

Police said they received a call about an armed person near Moreland and East Confederate avenues. Upon arrival officers were flagged down by the caller who said he was concerned about his friend's health and the way his friend had been acting.

The caller pointed out the male, later determined to be Davis, a short distance down the road. Officers approached Davis and began speaking with him. Police said Davis became increasingly agitated with officers, and began cursing and threatening them.

Officers took Davis into custody and discovered that he was carrying a handgun and a small amount of marijuana.

Davis is facing several charges, including disorderly conduct, carrying a concealed weapon and possession of marijuana.
