Rapper desecrates fan's Trump shirt during concert

ATHENS, Ga. — A controversial move at a local concert is causing a frenzy online.

It happened when a rapper noticed a fan wearing a Donald Trump jersey in the audience.

The incident happened at a Waka Flocka Flame concert at the Georgia Theater in Athens on Monday.

The rapper noticed the jersey and asked for it to be handed forward. When it arrived on stage, Waka Flocka Flame made an obscene gesture using the jersey.

"When I saw him do what he did, I thought 'he's crazy,'" said Alejandro De Paz, who shot video of the incident. “I looked at Waka Flocka and he was looking at it too. And at that moment I didn’t know what was going to happen. I thought he was going to ignore it like everyone else would."

Georgia Theater operators told Channel 2 Action News they take no sides on political statements and welcome artists with all political viewpoints.

They would invite the singer back again.
