Rain could impact St. Patrick's Day plans

ATLANTA — Do you have any St. Patrick's Day plans? If so, you'll especially need Severe Weather Team 2 Saturday.

Severe Weather Team 2 meteorologist Katie Walls said light to moderate downpours were quick-moving Saturday morning into the afternoon.

Later in the afternoon fewer rain showers are expected, although there is a possibility of an isolated downpour.

Walls said the chance of rain for Saturday morning was 60 percent, and lowered to 20 percent by the afternoon.

While Walls said she is not worried about severe weather this weekend, there is potential Monday with a strong cold front.

"It's too early for specific timing, but this is your heads-up to please be weather-aware Monday," Walls said.
