Rain moves in overnight, expected to stick around Friday

ATLANTA — Rain is expected to move in after midnight Thursday and will stick around all day Friday, according to Severe Weather Team 2 Meteorologist Brad Nitz.

Nitz said Friday will be in the 40s with gusty winds overnight but will climb into the 50s by Friday afternoon.

Severe Weather Team 2 Chief Meteorologist Glenn Burns said the rain will arrive in time for the morning commute on Friday. Rain and drizzle will stick around until noon.

"I think we're going to get a nice break in the rain for the afternoon commute tomorrow," Burns said.

Another line of showers will likely move in Saturday morning.
