Prosecutors: Teenager accused of killing grandmother, in court

ATLANTA — A teenager accused of killing his grandmother is in court, according to officials.

Charles Price III allegedly stabbed his grandmother, Mary Price, to death, early Friday.

Police say he stabbed her nearly 57 times.

Police say they found massive amounts of blood inside the house on Fairburn Road. They also found a broken knife in the kitchen and another broken knife in the living room.

In court, testimonies revealed that a teacher and an officer saw Price in the hallway, covered in blood.

School officials asked Price if he was OK and he told him he killed "it" and he liked it. They thought he killed another student.

In court, Prices’ uncle said he may have gotten upset with his grandmother over a television dispute. Now the teen faces over five other charges and will be back in court later this month.

Prosecutors say Price is going to be charged as an adult.
