• Possible turkey hunter puts schools on lockdown


    PAULDING COUNTY, Ga. - Three Paulding County schools were locked down Thursday morning after a man wearing cammo and armed with a rifle was seen walking nearby.

    The Paulding County Sheriff's Office said it believes the man may be a turkey hunter.

    North Paulding High School, Burnt Hickory Elementary School and Sammy McClure Middle School were placed on lockdown as a precaution around 10 a.m.

    The school district said the lockdown was lifted around 11 a.m.
