Possible explosive devices discovered at Brookhaven home

DEKALB COUNTY, Ga. — Police discovered a potentially explosive situation at a Brookhaven home Friday.

Investigators said they found four suspicious devices at a home on Navajo Drive that could be explosives.

The DeKalb County bomb squad sent in a robot to inspect the devices.

Police said they arrived at the home to execute a search warrant for drugs. They said they found a variety of illegal substances including marijuana, prescription pills, heroin, cocaine and methamphetamine.

Three men and one woman were arrested.

Brookhaven police said two of the suspects had outstanding warrants with other agencies.

Police said they have not filed charges yet related to the possible explosives because they are still waiting to determine the nature of those suspicious devices.

The four suspects are currently being held at DeKalb County Jail on city ordinance charges and warrants in connection with the investigation.

A resident at the home declined an interview Friday night.
