Police: Woman killed man she says kidnapped, raped her

CLAYTON COUNTY, Ga. — Clayton County police are trying to sort out what happened during a kidnapping that left the alleged abductor dead.

A woman told officers a man sexually assaulted her at a home on Kirk Drive in Clayton County Monday morning, police said.

Police said the woman called the Cobb County Police Department, telling them she was taken from Cobb to Clayton County.

"We met with the victim, who advised that she was brought in our county and sexually assaulted at this home," Sgt. Otis Willis of the Clayton County Police Department said.

Police said the woman told them she was able to get her hands on a gun and fired several times, killing her alleged attacker.

"I saw a red car pull into the driveway. I didn't stick around to see who got out of it," witness Danny Kirkland said.

Detectives and agents from the Georgia Bureau of Investigation are going over the woman's story to make sure her actions were justified.
