CLAYTON COUNTY, Ga. —

The Clayton County bomb squad checked a home for explosives early Thursday morning after neighbors reported multiple blasts that have shaken their neighborhood.

Police say the blasts were caused by a 16-year-old setting off homemade explosives at his home on Cedar Bend Court.

Investigators said they have charged the teen with possession/manufacturing of a destructive device, reckless conduct and having an explosive device.

The teen was taken into custody and later released to his parents.
