FULTON COUNTY, Ga. - A teenager was skateboarding in the street when he was struck and killed by an SUV early this morning, witnesses say.
According to Fulton County traffic investigators, a 19-year-old man was riding his skateboard in the middle of Bethsaida Road just after midnight on Tuesday when he was struck by a black Chevy Suburban.
The victim was taken to Grady Memorial Hospital, where he was pronounced dead.
Police said the driver stayed at the scene until officers arrived. The SUV had significant damage to the passenger side headlight.
No charges have been filed.
